LESOUND PROCUREMENT GUIDES

Microphone Stand Buying Guide for Distributors and OEM Buyers

Catalog-based buying information · Updated 23 October 2026

A distributor’s microphone-stand range should solve different placement problems, not offer the same stand under several names. Start with the microphone position, the supporting surface and the complete fitted assembly. Then compare the specific model’s published dimensions and the information still needed for sample approval.

Choose the microphone position before the stand.

For a fixed tabletop speaking position, a compact desktop stand is a different purchasing proposition from a floor stand. A desk-mounted arm can move the microphone away from the working surface, but it introduces a desk-attachment requirement. A floor boom provides another positioning format and requires a review of the working height, reach and supported equipment together.

Do not select by the longest published dimension alone. An arm-section length is not a guaranteed horizontal reach or working height. A stand’s own weight is not its permitted microphone load. Ask for the approved setup with the actual microphone, holder, cable and accessories before specifying a distributor range.

Three LESOUND formats, with different questions to resolve.

Catalog-based examples, not interchangeable replacements
Model and format Verified information Sample decision
MS030 Fixed 17 cm height; 180 mm heavy steel round base; listed stand weight 1.4 kg; male 5/8-inch mounting thread. Does the fixed position suit the desk and holder? Confirm the complete fitted load and connection. The 1.4 kg is stand weight, not load capacity.
MS075 Aluminum arm; 40 cm upper and 45 cm lower sections; integrated spring; C-clamp or grommet-hole mounting; cable clip. Confirm the desk interface, chosen mounting kit, supported assembly and included parts. Do not add the arm lengths together and label the result as a working-height range.
MS122 Metal boom stand; one-hand metal clutch; height range 1.0–1.6 m; telescopic boom range 64–118 cm; tripod format. Confirm microphone mounting thread, permitted load at the intended extension, floor footprint and transport requirements.

Separate the microphone mount from the base connection.

When a buyer asks for a thread size, identify the exact joint first: microphone holder to stand, boom to upright, or shaft to base. For MS030 the verified record identifies a male 5/8-inch microphone mount. That statement does not identify the internal base-to-shaft connection, and it must not be extended to MS075 or MS122 without their own verified information.

Send a drawing or clear description of the mating holder, including thread gender and required dimensions. Request confirmation of pitch and engagement where needed. Do not force a connection or assume an adapter is included. A visible microphone in an application photograph is not a list of supplied accessories.

Approve the complete setup, not just its appearance.

Build a sample brief around the proposed use. Record the required microphone position, the weight of the microphone and holder together, cable routing, and the supporting surface. For MS075 add desk thickness and edge or grommet details. For MS122 state the desired height and boom extension together. For MS030 check the fixed height against the intended speaking position.

Agree the adjustment, locking and stability checks with LESOUND before the sample is evaluated. If a load or durability requirement matters, request the relevant model-specific instructions and test evidence. This guide supplies no new load rating, duty-cycle claim or certification.

Keep a written acceptance record: exact model and configuration; approved mounting parts; dimensions checked; unresolved items; and the approved packing arrangement. This gives a repeat order a defined reference instead of relying on a photograph or an informal product name.

Keep standard supply, options and OEM requests separate.

Ask which clips, adapters, clamps, fasteners and bags are part of the quoted configuration. Record optional items separately. Request unit-pack and outer-carton dimensions, quantities, weights and artwork requirements; do not infer packaging from an assembled product image.

LESOUND offers OEM/ODM support, but a company-level capability is not approval for every change on every model. Submit branding, finish or packaging requests for feasibility review. MOQ, tooling, samples, delivery timing and commercial terms must be confirmed for the chosen project, not copied from another product.

Send an RFQ that can be evaluated.

Include the selected model and quantity by model, destination market, application, microphone/holder details, mounting interface, working position, required sample checks and packing or OEM needs. If comparing a desktop stand and a boom arm, explain the use case rather than asking for the same specification on both.

Open an individual model and choose its Request a Quote button to retain that model in the existing inquiry. For a range discussion, list all selected models and quantities in the message.
